On Oct 18 Executive Director Peter Pucci and CCF Trustee Ann Goodman attended the official opening of the Carole Cascio Pickleball Courts and the ribbon cutting to open the new YMCA in Centerville.
Robbie Gill, Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA in Queen Anne’s County was the keynote speaker for the opening of the new $21 million facility. The new Y is an incredible and beautiful multi use building. It is an amazing addition to the community. It was a wonderful celebration and a festive event. Over 300 people were in attendance.
In honor of Jim Flaherty, who recently passed away, Robbie Gill designated one of the Pickleball courts, the Jim Flattery Court. Jim was instrumental and teaching Carole how to play pickleball and encouraged her passion for the sport.
