A Celebration of Life to Honor Carole Drake Cascio

The CCBC Performing Arts Program directed by Anne Lefter and the CCBC Dance Company presented performances and videos for A Celebration of Life to honor Carole Drake Cascio’s contributions to the CCBC Dance Program. The Dance Company revived one of Carole’s many dances that she created for the company, Black Dust.

The dancers did a wonderful job it was a heartfelt performance. Carole created the Dance Department and was the Dance Department Chairperson from 1969 to 1996. She founded the college’s original dance company, Dimensional Dance Media (DDM) in 1974. Carole choreographed and directed DDM for many years. Many of Carole former students and alumni of DDM and friends attended the performance which was big success.

Community dancers participate in a Paul Taylor Dance Intensive taught by Paul Taylor Dance Company alumni from New York City Amy Young Kleinendorst and Rob Kleinendorst

March 22, 2026, the Todd Performing Arts center at Chesapeake College.

The local dance community, including Mid Shore Dance Academy from Centreville, Design in Motion from Annapolis, The Ensemble from Baltimore, New Motions Dance Studio in Cambridge and dancers from the Towson University Dance Program.
