A Family Day of Dance Registration

You are invited to join us for a Family Day of Dance!

Celebrate the diversity and beauty of dance with A Family Day of Dance, sponsored by the Carole Cascio Fund For Mind Movement Dance Connections.

Join us for a full day of FREE dance classes for children, teens, adults, and families. Whether you are an experienced dancer or simply want to move, learn, and have fun together, there is something for everyone.

CCF Teaching Artists and Guest Artists will lead a variety of classes throughout the day, including creative movement, Hip Hop, Modern Dance, Tap, and West African Dance.

All Classes are Free. Advance registration is required for all classes.

Please register for each class you plan to attend. Space may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Dance Studio Classes

Dance with Me

Time: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Ages: 2 to 3 with an Adult
Teaching Artist: Amy Young-Kleinendorst

A playful movement class for toddlers ages 2 to 3, accompanied by an adult. Through engaging songs, fundamental movements, and imaginative play, participants will build strength, connection, and coordination. Together, children and their adults can foster a love of music, movement, and play.

Little Movers

Time: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Ages: 4 to 6
Teaching Artist: Amy Young-Kleinendorst

An introduction to the fundamentals of dance movement for ages 4 to 6 in a playful format designed to build confidence, coordination, and musicality.

Move & Groove

Time: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Ages: 6 to 8
Teaching Artist: Gabby Pfeifer

This creative dance class for young movers is designed to make dance an enjoyable and enriching experience for all levels of learners. Students will develop physical abilities and creative thinking while being encouraged to express themselves through movement and, most importantly, have fun.

Kids Hip Hop

Time: 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Ages: 8 to 11
Teaching Artist: Gabby Pfeifer

Build technique, musicality, confidence, and a whole lot of groove! Dancers will be introduced to four foundational Hip Hop categories: House, Breaking, Locking, and Popping.

 

TPAC On Stage Classes

Hip Hop

Time: 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM
Ages: 12 and up AND YOUR PARENTS!
Teaching Artist: Adrienne Kraus Latanishen

For ages 12 and up AND YOUR PARENTS! Take a Hip Hop class inspired by the 80s and 90s!

Join Adrienne for a fun, action-packed Hip Hop class culminating in choreography inspired by House, Breaking, Popping, and Locking.

Modern Dance

Time: 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM
Ages: 12 and up
Teaching Artist: Amy Young-Kleinendorst

A former dancer with the Paul Taylor Dance Company in New York City, Amy will teach a Paul Taylor modern dance technique class.

Tap

Time: 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM
Ages: 12 and up
Teaching Artist: Stephanie O’Hare

This intermediate-level Tap class is centered around honing and reviewing technique and skills, with the end goal of learning Tap choreography that reflects and connects what was practiced during the first part of class.

Intergenerational West African Dance

Time: 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM
Ages: 7 to 100
Teaching Artist: Sylvia Soumah
Featuring Live Drummers!

Experience the fundamentals of West African Dance from Guinea, Mali, and Senegal in a simple and welcoming format designed to inspire and invigorate.

This intergenerational class brings people together through movement, rhythm, and community and welcomes participants of all backgrounds and experience levels.
