On March 23 CCBC Alumnus Peter Pucci and the Executive Director of the Carole Cascio Fund For Mind Movement Dance Connections, presented a $10K check to the CCBC Foundation Board Chair Derek Mitchell and the College’s Vice President of Institutional Advancement Ken Westary to establish the Carole Drake Cascio Dance Scholarship.

Carole Cascio was the founding Dance Program Director for the CCBC Dance Company (formally known as the Dimensional Dance Media) and first department chair. She inspired hundreds of dancers and to her credit, the program now offers nationally accredited degrees in dance. In recognition of the gift and to honor Carole our Founder, the two newly renovated dance studios on the CCBC Essex Campus where Carole taught for many years will be named the Carole Drake Cascio Dance Studios East & West respectively.

On May 12 at DeJon Vineyards, a committee Chaired by Peter Pucci with former dance alumni and friends of Carole will host a benefit to honor her legacy. Funds raised will go toward the Carole Drake Cascio Dance Scholarship. The dance scholarship will help support dancers in need. The event will also celebrate five decades of dancers who participated in the CCBC Dance Company (formally known as the Dimensional Dance Media) and were a part of the dance program. More information about the event will be coming soon. Save the date and join us as we celebrate her legacy!
