The Carole Cascio Fund is awarded a Mellow Internship for CCBC dancer Rachel Huber

The Mellow Internship that was awarded to the Carole Cascio Fund is in collaboration with Melinda Blomquist the Artistic Director of the Community College of Baltimore County Dance Program and the Dance Company at CCBC.

The Mellon Foundation and CCBC Humanities for All granted the Internship to Rachel Huber. This opportunity comes with financial support and is a paid internship for 14 weeks for the CCBC spring semester 2023.

Rachel will work directly with Executive Director Peter Pucci and Director Melinda Blomquist. She will assist Peter and Melinda with administrative duties with scheduling, coordinating and communicating with grantees from the Fund, with dance instructors and school administrators.

She will also assist with dance master classes, rehearsals for the dance company and travel to the Eastern Shore to assist Peter on Day of Dance activities and help further the mission of the Fund.

March 22, 2026, the Todd Performing Arts center at Chesapeake College.

The local dance community, including Mid Shore Dance Academy from Centreville, Design in Motion from Annapolis, The Ensemble from Baltimore, New Motions Dance Studio in Cambridge and dancers from the Towson University Dance Program.
