Amy Young Former Dancer with the Paul Taylor Dance Company in NYC is in residence at Queen Ann County High School this year teaching and choreographing.

Amy (Young) Kleinendorst was a former professional dancer for 17years with the Paul Taylor Dance Company in New York City. She is in residence teaching and choreographing for the Queen Anne’s County High School (QACHS) dancers. CCF Teaching Artist Adrienne Kraus Latanishen taught a number of Hip Hop classes this fall in the Queen Anne’s County Public Schools and will choreograph at QACHS this Spring.

In August Carole Cascio Fund’s (CCF) Teaching Artist Adrienne Kraus Latanishen started her third year working for CCF visiting with Queen Annes County Public School (QACPS) teachers at their Personal Development day. In collaboration with Michael Bell, the Supervisor for Instruction for QCAPS, Adrienne represented CCF and discussed many dance possibilities and opportunities for the CCF to support free dance and movement classes in QAC high schools and middle schools. CCF Intern Gabby Pfeifer had a very busy fall teaching, choreographing, and assisting in classes in the Queen Anne’s County Public Schools and will teach for the Partnering For Youth after-school program this Spring.

CCF Intern Gabby Pfeifer had a very productive fall season advocating for and facilitating various CCF events. One of her first assignments was working closely with Kevin Regan, Director of Drama at Kent Island High School (KIHS) and Director of the upcoming musical Frozen. CCF sponsors a World Day of Dance at Chesapeake College featuring West African Dance teacher Sylvia Soumah, Indian Classical dance teacher Deepti Mukund and Classical Chinese dance teacher Rose Xinran Qi

On November 2, 2024, the Carole Cascio Fund held its first-ever World Day of Dance at the Todd Performing Arts Center (TPAC) at Chesapeake College. On October 24, 2024, Executive Director Peter Pucci invited his friend Nile Russell, Director of Education at the prestigious world renowned American Dance Festival (ADF) to come to Queen Anne’s County High School. The 3rd Annual Carole Cascio Fund Benefit at Mark Cascia Vineyards features Ballet Hispánico’s Pa’Lante Dancers from New York City

On Sunday, October 6th the Mark Cascia Vineyards in Stevensville hosted the 3rd Annual Carole Cascio Fund Benefit. This year’s benefit featured the professional dance company Ballet Hispánico’s Pa’Lante Dancers from New York City. There was a lot of community support to help set up the stage for the company, including Amber Wright the Dance Teacher at KIHS who loaded CCF their dance floor and Michael Bell help arrange the transportation
