The Carole Cascio Fund is awarded a Mellow Internship for CCBC dancer Rachel Huber

The Mellow Internship that was awarded to the Carole Cascio Fund is in collaboration with Melinda Blomquist the Artistic Director of the Community College of Baltimore County Dance Program and the Dance Company at CCBC. The Mellon Foundation and CCBC Humanities for All granted the Internship to Rachel Huber. A Week of Dance Classes Across Queen Annes County

The Carole Cascio Fund provided several free dance classes taught by Executive Director Peter Pucci and Adrienne Kraus Latanishen. On Monday November 7th Peter and Adrienne started their week at Queen Anne’s County High School in Centerville working with the Director of the Dance Program Kristen Tyler. The Gathering to Celebrate Carole Cascio’s contributions to the community and to benefit her newly formed foundation went beautifully. The Carole Cascio Fund made it possible for thirty dancers and their teachers, Amber Wright from Kent Island High School and Kristin Tyler from Queen Anne’s County High School, to travel and participate in a master class taught by New York City B-girl hip hop choreographer Ephrat Asherie at the Community College of Baltimore, Essex Campus. Hands-On Movement Workshop with QACPS Teachers

Executive Director Peter Pucci and Advisory Committee member Anna Rider worked closely with Michael Bell the Supervisor of Instruction for Queen Anne’s County to create a hands on movement workshop with twenty five K-12 teachers from QACPS as Professional Development session. A Celebration of Life to Honor Carole Drake Cascio

The CCBC Performing Arts Program directed by Anne Lefter and the CCBC Dance Company presented performances and videos for A Celebration of Life to honor Carole Drake Cascio’s contributions to the CCBC Dance Program. CCF Donates Five of Carole’s Artworks to the CCBC’s Permanent Art Collection

Nicole Buckingham Kern the Gallery Coordinator for the permanent collection was delighted and happy to receive the works. She intentionally chose a wide variety of works to show Carole’s versatility as artist. The college was thrilled and honored to have Carole’s work be a part of the collection.
